How the N.I.C.E. Agency Began

Then, one particularly spirited elf—Merriwinkle Frostwhistle—came up with a brilliant idea: why not create a system where elves could be “adopted” by families all over the world? That way, they could volunteer their time during the holiday season to bring joy, fun, and (of course) a little mischief to homes that needed an extra sprinkle of holiday magic.

Merriwinkle presented the idea to Santa and the Elfin Council, and it was an instant hit. Thus, the N.I.C.E. Adoption Agency was born.

The Elf Application Process

Of course, elves can’t just waltz into anyone’s home without preparation! At the N.I.C.E. Agency, elves have to *apply* to be adopted by a family. And let’s just say, the competition is fierce.

Each elf fills out an application where they have to answer some key questions, like:
– “How skilled are you at navigating Christmas trees?”
– “Have you ever gotten stuck in a cookie jar?”
– “Rate your mischief-making skills on a scale from ‘slightly cheeky’ to ‘total chaos.’”

Once approved (after a very serious review by Figgy Twinkletoes in the Historical North department), elves get matched with a family in need of holiday joy.
